Day 820 River, Charbay, and Merlot

After work I visited my horses to take a few pictures. Top to Bottom, River, Charbay, and Merlot. Lately I have been wanting to turn most pictures into black and white images. I love them so. It reminds me of making black and white prints in the darkroom. It's to bad that it is a skill going bye-bye.

Day 820 Drive to Work

I was so happy when I opened my front door to go to work and saw the street was wet. I rushed back indoors to get my camera.

Day 819 Wasp

I am terrified of Wasps. They are vicious killers. But today I put on my big girl pants and got close enough with my lens to get a picture of one, Twice!

Day 818 Female Hover Fly, Allograpta obliqua

While trimming the fruit tree I thought why not photograph the sun coming through the leaves. Sounds nice but the reality was, no good photos. I meandered over to the ugly bushes and saw this critter. I don't know if it is a fly disguised as a dangerous thing, or if it is some type of tiny bee, or if it is some sort of tiny wasp, but whatever it is it was tiny and darted fast. I am amazed I have this shot as I am really really close with my camera and this creature was not cooperative. It is a fast bugger.
After a bit of research I have learned it is in fact a female Hover Fly.

Day 817 post 2 Bee with Pollen

While sitting on the couch I thought I needed to do more with my day, so I went out front to photograph bees. Ever since I can remember I've wanted a good bee picture. Before I could walk most of everything I thought about was a good bee picture. So today my main goal was to capture a bee in focus. Goal two was to capture a bee with pollen. Hence the title Bee with Pollen.

Day 817 Fly and ? Grasshopper?

I don't know what creature is in the bottom photo. Entomologist please tell.

Day 816 post 2 The Neighbors Lights

I went outback to photograph with my macro lens. Unfortunately it was to dark to photograph, so I decided to photograph my neighbor's lights.

Day 816 Light through the Palms.
