Day 852 McHenry Museum

Noir or color, take your pick.

Day 852 On Carpenter Road

Day 852 Dairy with Awesome Clouds

Taken on Carpenter Road.

Day 852 Brick Building and Almond Trees

I did a U-Turn and pulled in to this dirt area because I liked the sun's reflection on this small puddle of water. While there I also got a quick shot of the building, which I've seen many times before but never gotten a good picture. Then I pulled out making another U-Turn into the road and while holding my camera out the drivers side window I hoped I'd get another picture. I was elated to find the top one. It's perfect and my favorite for the day. Sometimes you just get lucky!

Day 848 Rainy Morning Noir

It was another beautiful rainy morning. I took plenty pictures to convert to Noir, but instead of having multiple posts like yesterday, I'm only posting my three favorite.

Day 847 Rainy Morning in Noir 2

That Dairy again...

Day 847 Rainy Morning in Noir 1

Yesterday I happened to look at Photos on my Mac. I have never done so, as I have Aperture and always use that program. I found a filter called Noir. Well... I LOVE NOIR! My husband and I love watching the NOIR movies on TCM. So loving the NOIR filter was a given. But what I just realized is that, in Junior College I always printed my black and white photos dark. ALWAYS. I'm am posting a few times today as I have many photos I want to share. The top photo in this post is my absolute favorite for today.

Day 845 Jewelry

I belong to a Facebook photography group that is about learning how to take pictures. I do it so that I can have random assignments. I love getting a subject and then figuring out what I can do with it. The assignment was accessories shot indoors. The top photo is of my wedding ring and the bottom photo is of a necklace my sister bought me when I was twenty. So the necklace is forty years old and the ring is about twenty.
