It occurred to me I have not yet photographed what I was watching on TV.

Day 485 Steven Swimming October

I can't believe we missed September! Oh well my goal was 12 months straight and we did 16 months so I guess that's not to bad. BUt I did want to get a picture of Steven swimming in October. He swam part way down one way and back and said "that's it!, it's to cold."

Maybe I can get him to do it again in November?

I make no excuses for myself. I have plans and want at least a hundred photo's of this bird.

The top picture is what I was going for today. It's perfect! Can't wait to try it again with a faster shutter speed.

Day 482 Drive to Work

Taken while driving to work this morning. It has occurred to me that I don't have a single sunrise or sunset on this blog so the top picture today counts as my sunrise. I'm torn between the middle and bottom picture for todays best.

Both of these pictures were taken while driving to work. I couldn't decide between them, and my husband likes the water reflection one, while I like the scenery one, so I am posting both.

He's just so beautiful I can't help myself. Believe it or not, when I unzipped the light stand bag, he got excited. I wonder if that means he knows I am going to take his picture and he likes it? Or am I randomly connecting two separate and unrelated events?

Day 476 Drive to and from work

It's been a long time since I have felt like having my camera on me. As one could easily tell by the large amount of protest pictures I've posted. A picture of a picture, fair but as a friend reminded me kind of cheating.

These aren't great but at least I took them today. I am also attending the Modesto Art walk today as I have three images of Covey, my old blind horse hanging at the Mistlin Gallery. They are part of the third annual photography and poetry show.

Day 475 Disney Half Moon Conure

O.K. call me a liar! I wanted to try taking his picture with one of my lights. He was fine with it and even played around while I took pictures. My goal has been to capture his brilliant color.

Day 474 Disney with a flash

I did say I wouldn't photograph Disney for awhile but I wanted to try and get a good picture. So far I have only taken casual pictures in natural light, and today thought maybe I could use the flash with him. I feel as if we know each other well enough that I could use the flash. Turns out he was fine with it and even seemed a little curious. Now when I take pictures he stays where I put him as if he knows the camera is clicking. I do believe he is a smart little guy.

I also think I am going to take many pictures of him as Half Moon conures are considered to be one of the plainest looking of conures. I disagree as their stunning greens and blues go marvelously with the little orange front.

We're renting out our tiny spare room to a nice young man who is taking music classes at MJC. He let me take his picture tonight.

I took pictures of my dogs today but didn't like the way they turned out. After which I took a few of Disney outside in his cage.

No self respecting photographer would ever put a picture like this up for the world to see, but I am not self respecting. I remember thinking when I was taking this image... why, why, why, yet I couldn't stop myself. I loved the black and white appearance created by the protesters walking into, and the asphalt glistening, in the light of the setting sun.

I admit this is probably the worst protest picture ever.

Wow fifty posts of protest pictures! And I still haven't even found my favorite one.

This was the first time I saw this guy and I wondered what his face looked like. In later protests I saw him again with his clothes on and his face showing.
