Day 755 Barbara
Barbara is a nice woman who has rescued a horse and taken great care of him. She has a mare that is hers, and with two horses she has had to make sacrifices. She is facing the possibility of giving away her rescue horse to a great trainer who can do well with him. She was telling me about her deal when I asked to take her picture. She said no I'm old and ugly. I told her she was beautiful. Which of course she is. So she said ok you can take my picture but tell me something nice about my horses. I said "Cosmo is beautiful". She smiled and I got her picture.

Day 749 Horses
This is the best I can get this picture to post. The blogger program keeps lightening the image to ridiculous proportions. I had to darken the image to almost total blackness in order for it to post like this and not completely washed out. I'd forget about it completely except that this is my favorite image for today.
Day 749 Morning Sun through the Fog
This image was taken on Carpenter Road in Modesto. I have noticed the valley of fog with the morning sun behind it many times. I finally have a picture!

Day 747 Morning Light and the Gardner
I was leaving my house this morning like I do every other 349 mornings of the year, without my camera, when I noticed what great lighting it was. I ran back inside retrieved my camera and was about to get in my jeep when this man, a gardner working next door, came up to me for conversation. Naturally I took his picture. Then ten minutes later while driving through the McDonalds in downtown Modesto I snapped a shot of this guy standing. I like the light down the front of his face.

Day 746 Jessie in Tattered Curtains
Jessie is twenty years old and still enjoying the sunlight. She enjoys the sunlight and I enjoy the lines created by the old and tattered curtains.

Day 745 Post 2, Barn
I've photographed this barn before while driving home. Today it is pictured while driving to work. I love the lighting here. This is the kind of picture I look at and say Yeah!
Day 745 Old Buildings, Top Half
These pictures are on the right side of Main Street as you are driving into Patterson. I've tried to go inside and take pictures before but the owner did not believe I was an artist. I don't know who he thought I was but another girl asked to take pictures there saying it was for art, he let her, then she turned pictures over to authorities for some reason. In any case I'd love to go in and take pictures. Maybe someday he'll let me. The two picture below these three are part of the series of five.

Day 742 Little Girl in Yosemite
We took a day trip to Yosemite. I have many beautiful pictures of trees but I like this picture of a little girl in the water.

Day 741 Sprinkler Water
It's been awhile since I've photographed water from a sprinkler. So it was nice to see the light coming through the water in the backyard.

Day 740 Evening Sky
I went outside to give the dogs some fresh water. It is very hot and humid, but oh my, the sky is beautiful tonight.

Day 739 Black Birds at Casa De Fruta
Wayne and I were sitting outside the sandwich shop at Casa De Fruta when a few blackbirds came asking for food. Wayne held out a piece of bread in his hand to see if a bird would take it, one did. The only one and she took it twice! I was slow with my trigger finger so it looks like Wayne is pulling it's tail, actually it did a back flip as it grabbed the bread. For the bottom picture I loved the color of the bird so I thought I'd try to get closer to it. then all of the sudden it cocked it's head and spread out it's wing and tail as if it were hurt. I thought birds only did that to lure predators away from a nest. Oh well, I'm sorry I scared it but I love the color in it's wings brilliantly glimmering in the sun. I wasn't that close, it could have just flown away.

Day 738 Exit 67
I was driving North on the 99 freeway and decided to exit Avenue 67 and this is what I saw. This was a sad place for me to see, The horses had no visible water, but I am sure some was there, and NO Food. There is nothing I can do for these starving souls. It's difficult to see but in the top a couple of the horses are babies. The bottom two pictures were taken directly across from each other.
