Day 844 Drive Home
Taken with my I-Phone 6. Because of the narrow road and traffic, I had to get out of my Jeep and take this picture. I really just loved the reflection of all the trucks, but when I was standing there seeing the entire scene, I knew it had to be photographed from a panorama view point. I have always loved panorama photographs. I just have never been able to afford one. Thank you I-Phone

Day 828 Leptoglossus zonatus
These bugs are taking over my sunflowers. This one is a female. I know that because she is laying eggs. Pictures were actually taken yesterday, July 14, 2018.

Day 827 European Paper Wasp, dominulus
Day 827 Stink Bug, Thyanta pallidovirens
As I was headed into the house I noticed the grass move. Not the kind of gentle breeze move but insect move. Upon closer inspection I found this little guy. I have no idea what it is but it was in my backyard.
Day 827 Praying Mantis, adult female Mantis religiosa
Day 827 Passion Butterfly, Gulf fritillary
I've always wanted a butterfly picture! Today one landed right by me. I had time to focus and snap ONE frame when it flew far away.
Day 827 Bee with Pollen on its eyes.
Only one very small sunflower has pollen. The rest are past that. I was quite bored photographing bees. But back in the house and looking through images I noticed one that is so great! It is the top photo. The pollen is over the bees eyes and it's clear and in focus. I love it.

Day 826 Bees and Pollen
I wanted to see if I could get a better bee and pollen picture while there was still a little bit of pollen left. I think these are better photos than the ones I posted yesterday.

Day 825 Bees with Pollen
In April I planted about thirty sunflower seeds. I have been photographing them and posting them on Facebook. I wish I had posted some here, I'm not sure why I didn't. My sunflowers are about 12-14 feet high. Some of them are smaller varieties and one of the smaller ones bent at the stalk. I propped it up on the lawnmower and surprisingly it kept on growing. Today I was able to get a few bee pictures from it.

Day 824 post 2 Families Belong Together March. June 30, 2018
I decided to make a second post because I can never edit my pictures. I like the little girl in the first photo of each post but cannot decide which is the better picture. Yes she is more dramatic in the first post but I like her in this one as well. So I add a photo of protestors on their way to the 10th Street Plaza. Also a photo of my favorite sign. Days like today and I miss working for newspapers.
Day 824 Families Belong Together March. June 30, 2018
I was excited to be asked to help sign people in for the protest that took place in Modesto this afternoon. I brought me camera and when finished with my job, took pictures of the protesters. I uploaded 37 images to my facebook. But I decided to post these three on my blog because I love that children when told what was happening wanted to help. Parents seemed bubbling with pride as they told stories about how their children knew separating families was wrong. So for that reason I choose to show three pictures of the children protesting. Not the best pictures of the day, but for me the most meaningful. Early reports are that tens of thousands of people protested all across America today.

Day 820 River, Charbay, and Merlot
After work I visited my horses to take a few pictures. Top to Bottom, River, Charbay, and Merlot. Lately I have been wanting to turn most pictures into black and white images. I love them so. It reminds me of making black and white prints in the darkroom. It's to bad that it is a skill going bye-bye.
