This moth was smaller than my pinky fingernail.

Day 828 Leptoglossus zonatus
These bugs are taking over my sunflowers. This one is a female. I know that because she is laying eggs. Pictures were actually taken yesterday, July 14, 2018.

Day 827 European Paper Wasp, dominulus
Day 827 Stink Bug, Thyanta pallidovirens
As I was headed into the house I noticed the grass move. Not the kind of gentle breeze move but insect move. Upon closer inspection I found this little guy. I have no idea what it is but it was in my backyard.
Day 827 Praying Mantis, adult female Mantis religiosa
Day 827 Passion Butterfly, Gulf fritillary
I've always wanted a butterfly picture! Today one landed right by me. I had time to focus and snap ONE frame when it flew far away.
Day 827 Bee with Pollen on its eyes.
Only one very small sunflower has pollen. The rest are past that. I was quite bored photographing bees. But back in the house and looking through images I noticed one that is so great! It is the top photo. The pollen is over the bees eyes and it's clear and in focus. I love it.

Day 826 Bees and Pollen
I wanted to see if I could get a better bee and pollen picture while there was still a little bit of pollen left. I think these are better photos than the ones I posted yesterday.

Day 825 Bees with Pollen
In April I planted about thirty sunflower seeds. I have been photographing them and posting them on Facebook. I wish I had posted some here, I'm not sure why I didn't. My sunflowers are about 12-14 feet high. Some of them are smaller varieties and one of the smaller ones bent at the stalk. I propped it up on the lawnmower and surprisingly it kept on growing. Today I was able to get a few bee pictures from it.
