Day 928 Bottom of Emeril pot

The bottom of our Emeril pot finally separated from the pot itself. I thought it was pretty enough to photograph.

Day 927 post 2. Ricky Mier

So I am learning how to play the Banjo. I read about this guy as a great player and teacher. So I scheduled lessons with him, and it's true, Ricky Mier is awesome. I knew he was photogenic right away and he graciously allowed me to take his picture.

Actually Taken on Mother's Day 2023.

Day 925 Bees

I had a late start work day, so was able to sit out back with the bees. There weren't many out, but I did catch this one ready for take off. Plus the morning dew was wonderful.

Day 924 Bees April 16, 2023

I love two life forms in each of these frames. The fly kept moving out of the bees way. The bee didn't even seem to notice the fly.

Day 923 Bees in Lavender

I stayed home from work because allergies are making me miserable, so what do I do? Go outside and photograph bees in lavender. lol I love these two images. The detail one them is awesome. I wish I had an even better macro lens. At some point I'll have to see what I can do about that.

Day 920 Mark

While taking a morning stroll I saw this gentleman leaving a house with a guitar case. I ran up to him asking if he knew how to play. He said yes and played a song. He said he likes to play when he is feeling down, and that he's been playing for 16 years.

Day 917 Black Widow

Whilst sitting on the front porch swing I glanced over to see this lovely lady. She is the largest black widow I have ever seen. He web is 4 feet by 3 feet at the base and at least 12 feet tall. There is so much web going vertical that it is almost like a solid wall of web. Very Impressive. I took a few pictures before she ran up the web. I am shocked that I was able to get a shot of her scurrying away in focus. If I ever see her again she will take her last breath.

Day 916

This place on Crows Landing Road is well known because of the patch of cactus. I stopped to get some pictures and this older gentleman gave me a tour. He loved the cactus and worked on a dairy near by. He also wanted me to take a puppy. There was a black female with white feet, which I almost took, but with three large dogs at home I was strong and did not take her.
My goal was to get photo of the man with the dogs, but he would not get close to them. Finally I got a shot. I was disappointed that he was so far away from the dogs, but happy they were in the same frame. I like it much more than I thought I would.
