Day 652 Sunrise with a Windmill

It was an ugly morning during my drive to work. So I turned my camera in the opposite direction to get a sunrise picture. I usually am not a sunrise/sunset fan but I do love the wind mill.

Day 651 Drive to Work

WOW will wonders ever cease! I have taken a picture two days in a row. I am hoping to go for a whole week. And If I can do that maybe I can go two weeks? Maybe I can finally reach my goal of taking a picture a day for a whole year. I am at Day 651 and have not accomplished this. I need a better camera, this one is failing, I need a new computer, I need a lap top so I can down load and post when I am away from home. I need a place to process film so I can shoot black and white and post those pictures, I need a nice scanner so I can scan black and white pictures, what I really need to accomplish my goal is to win the lottery so I can have the time it takes to go get decent pictures. I need to buy a lottery ticket or two. Until then here are two pictures. I couldn't decide between them.

The top picture is the San Joaquin River. A difficult shot as I am driving across a bridge at this point and the barrier is so high that when I have taken this shot in the past the barrier ruins the shot. Today must be my lucky day. Better go get that lottery ticket!

Day 650 A wet Disney

It has been so long since I have taken a picture that I almost forgot how. I have had a physical malady that has pretty much kept me on the couch for the past six months. I have not healed very well and am still going to be basically house bound, but because I was restless I set up my lights and had a little fun trying to photograph Disney. The background has been up and I have been wanting to take a picture of him in front of it for quite awhile now. In looking through the camera back I thought I wouldn't like all the rose shapes, but in seeing the images on the computer screen I love them. My goal is to photograph Disney in front of a lot of different backgrounds, ones that might not be ideal. I don't know maybe I am just going for the worst!

Day 649 Trees Seen from the Street

I've always wanted to photograph this area as you can see it while driving by. I got out of my car today took a shot.

Day 648 post 3 Drive to Work

I have long wanted to photograph the old white wood fence in the bottom picture, but have always fallen short. I'm happy with this morning image. The top picture is a random frame taken while driving to work. I'm sure I'll remember which place it is when I drive by again.

Day 648 post 2 Working Shed

I have always wanted a picture of this shed. I love the way it's aluminum glows in the morning sun.

Day 648 Poor Dog, actually two of them

I noticed this dog tied up in a desolate area while on my way to work yesterday. I wished I had my camera. She was still there when I left work and I almost stopped to see if she was abandoned but kept going because I thought she might belong to someone working near by. I did bring my camera to work today as I planed on taking her picture if she was still there. She was. So was a larger male pit bull, a pretty blue boy, with a more pleasing personality. It's nice to see they were not abandoned but I am sure they have a rough life.

Day 647 Bell Pepper

Sometime during the late summer my husband and I visited a local nursery. We bought a couple of tomato plants, a couple of green pepper plants and quite a few varieties of chili pepper plants. After planting we were very proud of our fledgling garden. The next day our puppy Smoky dug it all up. I managed to salvage a couple of pepper plants and one tomato plant. We figured we would not get any vegetables from our efforts, but this morning I noticed five peppers growing on one of the plants, and plucked this one which seemed ready. I don't know what kind of pepper it is, but we grew it ourselves. No pesticides. Ready to eat or cook or dice and slice or photograph. After cutting it open... It is a Bell Pepper!

Day 646 Dairy

I actually took this picture Thursday morning. If I was keeping up on this blog it would have been posted then, but considering I am not actively taking a picture a day, it gets posted today, Sunday, three days late.

This is my best effort of trying to get a picture of Disney flying.

Day 644 Flowers

A few days ago my husband brought home a large vase of flowers for our 18th anniversary. Immediately wanted to photograph the tallest flower in the back of the arrangement. I had some free time and was alone, so today was the day. I took the flower out of the large arrangement and put it in a small orange vase I had underneath our kitchen sink. The top picture was how imagined the picture should be. The bottom is probably the better picture.

Day 643 Fred in the Water

I should call this the whenever I feel like it, taking a picture of Disney, and Fred in the water, blog. Today Fred in the water.

Day 642 Disney a Half Moon Conure

Disney took a bath and I was lucky to get a shot.

Day 641 Fred and Smoky

My favorite subject, Fred in the sprinkler. I was taking Fred's picture when he left both the sprinkler and the ball, Smoky not wasting a second, ran in to lay claim to the ball. So I have his picture too!
