Day 730 Emilius Julius Leppelman and Elma Claghorn Leppelman

This is a tintype I photographed today in San Jose. It belongs to a distant relative. Her friend flew with it from North Carolina so I could take a picture of it. Why you ask? Because the pictures are of Emilius Julius Leppelman and his wife Alma Claghorn Ingraham, my ancestors. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to photograph the photographs. Didn't I always say a picture of a picture counts?

Day 727 Dogs

We drove to Monterey for breakfast and there we saw these dogs. Apparently Monterey is very dog friendly.

Day 725 Yosemite Avenue between Modesto and Empire

These two pictures were taken from the same place, out the window of my jeep. Only one was out the riverside window and the other was out the passenger side window. Yeah it finally rained.

Day 721 Stanislaus River in the Fog

This scene has been on this blog a few times. It is a difficult shot to get as you cannot walk along the bridge but must drive across. If there is traffic and usually there is, you cannot take a picture. Even if you do get to take a picture, there are telephone wires and barricades that get in your way. To sum it up, if I get a shot it goes on the blog.
