Day 672 Disney takes a Bath

Stuck at home today and thought I'd play with a handsome birdy.

Day 671 Passing on...

My mom lost her three year battle with colon cancer July 12, 2012. In searching for images to use for her funeral services I found this picture of my mom with her three brothers. It was badly damaged and I did not have photoshop at that time, so we were unable to use it. My husband however, installed photoshop's newest version this morning. Thus I spent a small amount of time with my limited photoshop knowledge fixing it up as best I could. From left to right, David, Phil, Florence and Joe.

Day 670 Baby Birds in the Nest

Didn't I say I would get a better picture of a bird? A small bird built a nest in my sister's backyard. Pretty daring for the bird so close to humans, but no predators would dare get close to the nest with all the human activity. I didn't want to get to close myself as not to scare off the mother bird. But since my niece took a picture with her I-Phone and got very close to do it, I figured I with my more advanced camera and the ability to photograph at a longer distance, was not so bad. I'll mention what kinds of birds these are when I find out.

I was in Southern California visiting my sister when I took a few snap shots of her young twins in the jacuzzi.

Day 668 Red Shouldered Hawk

I definitely have better pictures, but I can't resist posting a picture of a bird. A Red Shouldered Hawk to be exact. It is not much as far as bird images go, but someday I'll get a better picture. Just wait and see.

Day 667 An Old Place

This old place can be seen while I'm driving to work. You have to drive off the main road a bit to get a good look, but it's worth it. A nice place with several very old buildings and even an old tractor. The tractor is on the other side and at some point I hope to get a picture of it. This place is probably dangerous and is therefore fenced off, which is to bad for me as I'd love to go in there and photograph it all.

Day 666 post 2 Somewhere on Crows Landing Road

I drive by this place often. It's so far back off the road I haven't been able to get a decent picture of it, but I enjoy todays attempt. I think it's the nice cool pale blue of the morning sky that helps this image out.

Day 666 post 1 Openshaw and Sons

Another day another just as beautiful Openshaw and Sons building.

Day 665 post 2 San Joaquin River

I already posted for today but if I get a picture of the San Joaquin River while driving across the bridge, I have to post it.

Day 665 post 1 Openshaw and Sons

I love getting images of this building. I love it's old metalness (My neologism). I couldn't decide between these two pictures. The top image has the name Openshaw and Sons sign which I love, and the bottom has a reflection of the sky and trees in it's window, which I also love. So take your pick on which one is best. I can't decide.
Actually now that I look at it the bottom picture does not have a reflection of trees in the window. It has a broken window so that you can see the trees and sky behind.

Day 664 Wheat Bread with Forks

I made a terrible loaf of light wheat bread and the picture I took of it was terrible too, so I added some forks.

Day 663 Charbay

I don't photograph my horses much. It's difficult for me to get a decent picture of them. The background where they are at is an ugly one. The place I board them at is a great horse place just photographically speaking what I have for a background isn't what I would like. I did enjoy my series on Covey, but he was easy an old white horse mostly photographed in the evening. I am thinking I might try and get good pictures of my remaining four horses.
This is one of them, my only mare, Charbay.
