Day 241 Snail
I've been wanting to photograph some sort of living form on black with a macro lens. Then today I found my subject. After I took his picture I put him back where I found him.

Day 240 Moose Park
I will be the first to admit I am not a nature photographer. It takes a special kind of skill and patience for that kind of work. However, I did snap a few pictures this morning while walking my dog Tyler. I love this park it's a fun place to walk a dog. Not to mention trees always have a kind of secret quality to them.

Day 239 Portrait of Seven
One day while I was at work, probably about June of '99, my husband called to ask me who was this dog hiding in our bushes. I had no clue but prayed he'd be there when I got off work, which he was... I got on the ground and called him quite nicely to come here and he crawled on his belly over to me so I could pet him. We did try to find him a home but no one wanted him. We even called Lab Rescue but the woman said he was not part lab but part boxer. Here he is in February of 2010, still very beautiful and much loved.
I've been wanting to take a portrait of Seven with a black background for a long time now. Today I actually set up a couple of lights. It's just so hard to get Seven to cooperate. He's shy. This is the first frame and the best out of five.

Day 233 First Camera Ever
I've been wanting to photograph my first camera, but haven't been sure about how to present it. It was a Christmas gift. The one thing I really wanted beside a pony. Recently a childhood friend, a girl who lived on the block in front of mine, recently found me on face book. How fun to photograph my first camera with pictures of my first friend taken with my first roll of film. I distinctly remember us all out front playing around and taking pictures with my new camera.
That's me to the left, on the bottom picture, with my youngest sister Wendy, my friend Teresa, and my sister Connie.
The middle picture was taken a few years later. We had moved into a new house up on a hill and Teresa came to visit. This might be the beginning of me cutting people's faces off when taking their picture. That's My sister Laurie, Wendy's hair, Connie and Teresa in back.
Top picture my MAGIMATIC! I took pictures with that camera for years!!! I just wish I could have held onto all the pictures.

Day 232 Drive To and From Work 2
These images were taken while I was driving to and from work. I love the wind shield wiper in the top picture. As I tried to photograph the man leaning against the building in the bottom picture, I was disappointed the truck was parked there, but now as I see the image I think it kind of brings the man closer. Or maybe not.

Day 227 Fire Creatures
I love the way flames create scenes of fantasy and as soon as you see them they're gone. The top image is the devil kissing the hand of duck woman. She is leaning back in a feminine manner which allows her locks of hair to hang down. The middle image is of a man with tentacle like face, kneeling before a crustacean creature with lots of claws who is obviously dominant. The bottom image is my favorite. A fantasy Pegasus who is proud and majestic.

Day 224 Clams from a Sidewalk
While returning home from my pack leader walk yesterday, I noticed about twelve clams on the sidewalk. One of them was crushed to pieces but the rest were just sitting there. I picked up three of them for todays picture. I set them on a plate of water to await their moment of stardom. Today when I arrived home from work I noticed one of the clams was open. My husband said that means it's still alive. I gave it more water but it could be a salt water clam. The hard cold facts of reality are, away from it's natural habitat, they're going to die no matter what I do. I took my pictures and set the plate of clams on the kitchen counter with some fresh water. I'm not really sure what to do with them. I hope they're not suffering.

Day 223 Pink Flowers Picked from a Tree
I took my dog Tyler for a walk. I am trying to be a calm, strong and assertive leader like the Dog Whisperer says you should be, so I am not taking my camera on the walks. However I do see things that should be photographed, like these flowers. I picked them from a tree making sure no one saw me commit the "picking the flowers off the tree crime." The flower in the center of the bottom picture was picked just around the block from the other flowers. I suppose if you are going to commit a "picking the flower off of some ones tree crime," you might as well just go for it.

Day 221 Shells on Black on Each Others Back
Another busy, tiring day, and I almost didn't take a picture. Thank goodness I've discovered the fun of photographing things on black. I picked up a couple of shells that sit on a tray of rocks underneath the front window. A little water to make them appear luscious, luminous and lustrous and I was ready. I photographed the shells every which-a-way.
