Day 545 Disney a Half Moon Conure

I wanted to try and photograph Disney with a different color background.

Day 544 Wayne and Steven

It was Steven's birthday today. I spent the day shopping, then cleaning the kitchen, picking up after three dogs, bringing up the trash cans, playing with my bird for an hour, took a trip to the bank, took our foster dog for a quick walk, vacuumed, did a load of laundry in between all that, then drove to Turlock to pick Steven up. From there, Steven opened his presents, then we all went to dinner, after which we went to Barnes and Nobles where we hung out so I could buy a coffee from the Star Bucks that's connected to it, then we went to see Narnia in 3-D, then back home for a slice of cake. Then about 9:45 p.m. I took a picture of my two favorite men.

Day 543 an Old Barn, an Old Red Car, and a Cat

I was driving home when I looked down a street I usually pass by. I couldn't believe what I saw, a beautiful old barn, and a beautiful old red car. I stopped to ask whoever lived there If I could photograph the barn but no one answered the door. I did take a few pictures back by my car in what would pass for a sidewalk, if there was a sidewalk. I was planning on going back to hopefully find someone home and get some better shots up close, but I actually like this one. It is after all what I saw when driving by. Maybe someday I'll go back and ask them for pictures of the old barn up close.

I am not going to make any more excuses about why I photograph Disney so much. I am just going to do it. Maybe someday I'll get bored.

I was just looking at this picture and it came to me, that it looks like a birdy version of Edward Weston's green pepper. Well..... sort of.....

Day 540 Tyler at the Back Door

I've seen this picture so many times and was so happy to finally take it this morning. I think I might try it again tomorrow morning but maybe trying to get a picture of the German Shepherd dog I am fostering. I love how the light shines on Tyler.

It has been difficult for me to photograph the dogs lately. Seven who has appeared on this blog at least three times I believe, passed away during the early morning hours of November seventh. It was a shock and I have had a difficult time going in the back yard. Now that I am fostering the young shepherd girl, whose photo appeared a little over a week ago, it is easier.

Day 538 Steven behind a wet glass door

It's Christmas and I took only seven pictures today. This is the best one. I told Steven to put his face against the wet glass door. He said "No it's raining," I said "Yeah I know that's why I want you to put your face on it... and put your hand up there too!"

Day 538 Holly in Fog

Another sick day and I didn't want to photograph Disney, so once I saw the fog I made myself get up and take a few pictures of the holly plant my son bought for me.

Day 537 Disney a Half Moon Conure

I don't know whether I am getting sicker or better. I sat on the couch and realized I wasn't getting up to take any pictures today. So I took a few pictures of Disney with just the flash as he played around in his cage. When it came time to picking one I couldn't bare the thought of a terrible picture so I actually got out one light and put Disney on top of his cage. He had a nice time playing around and I took so many pictures I have a dozen to choose from that I really like. But of course I am only posting a few. I like these three because they remind me of black velvet paintings that used to be popular in the seventies.

Day 536 Disney a Half Moon Conure

I bought this soap dish at Bed Bath and Beyond. I was hoping it would make a nice dish for Disney to take a bath in while I take pictures. I like it and can't wait to take many pictures of him splashing around.

Still sicj and stuck at home. Fortunately Miguel needed pictures of him playing the guitar. I took a few for him, then snapped this close up when we finished.

Day 533 Huntington Beach Shells

It was an amazingly busy day and at about 7 p.m. I thought, what can I photograph? I searched the whole house over when I remembered I had picked up a couple of shells from Huntington Beach last time I was out there visiting family.

While taking Tyler for a walk I met Al. He told me how once he and his ex-wife took a picture of a Rastafarian in San Francisco and the guy followed them because he didn't want his picture taken.

I am still sick. I guess I shouldn't have worked yesterday. But then I wouldn't have a picture of a dairy. It's getting a little boring getting the same shots of Disney. I have an idea for something different but so far he isn't cooperating. At some point I'll get it and be happy.

I have been trying to take a picture of a dairy while driving to work for a long time now. Hooray I have one!

Day 526 Stray Shepherd

I found this dog walking in traffic this morning. Another woman rescued her from there and now she is resting in my house. I contacted a rescue and they will hopefully get her and find her a great home. Unfortunately she is in need of veterinary help so she will have to go to the pound so the rescue can claim her if her owners do not. The rescue will not take in strays and this is the best and fastest way to get the dog some help. I hope it works and she finds herself a wonderful home.

I photographed this old plastic horse on black a long time ago for this blog and for some reason have been thinking what an ugly picture it was. I thought with a bit more dramatic light and maybe a different angle I could get a better picture of this static object.
